I feel your pain...I would have no idea of how to work the TV without my remote. You are in my thoughts.
I too feel your pain. I've hopelessly tried to block out those miserable dark days where the kids sat and stared at Fox News because we were unable to change the channel.

someone yanked the batteries out of mine. The remote is there...I can see it but it is of no use to me.
My sister's little guy tries to be helpful by throwing away random things....they claim to have lost more than one remote in that fashion, but I think they'll find them all in the couch someday.
