I Think it's Perfectly Normal; Part XVIII

I love the rain.

Maybe it’s because my mom loved it so much and it reminds me of our long chats about nothing and everything…

Maybe it’s because of the sound it makes on the windows…

Maybe it’s because it goes perfectly with grilled cheese and tomato soup...

Maybe it’s because it brings back so many good memories of growing up in Portland…

Sigh…

I love the rain…

Me too. When we lived in the Las Vegas, NV area for 4 and 1/2 years, JD and I often said we were dried up like the bottom of an arroyo bed. We often went on vacation where we knew it would rain some and we could let our skin go back to normal. It does something for the soul. Been raining all day and it's been a great day!

BTW, how high can you count in roman numerals?

The lack of rain was the biggest thing I had to adjust to when I moved to SoCal...more so than the heat, crowds and earthquakes. When the rain falls it helps to slow me down and enjoy the simple things. Maybe it's because I'm from Oregon and I know that life isn't complete without rain. Hmmm....

Ooohh...I love rain, too! I miss it - we've obviously seen nothing but snow for the last many months. I especially LOVE thunderstorms. There is a line in "A Wrinkle in Time" that goes "Wild nights are my glory"...I LOVE that line and it is so true about me! LOVE intense weather of all kinds....but, a nice dark rainy day is especially lovely in the middle of the summer or in the early fall.

I tolerate the rain. I LOVE the sun and hot weather. I still live in Portland.

Funny, when I lived in S.Cal, I too, missed the rain. Now that I'm back here, I DREAD it! The grass is always greener on the other side! I'm glad that it reminds you of Portland though. Brandi

I don't like the rain when I live in a tiny house with 2 little ones.
