I'm tired of being sick but I love reading greeting cards.

Behold, my self portrait.

So it's been 10 days and I'm not getting any better. Gross.I finally gave in and went to the doctor today. I got a z-pack.

Yay for antibiotics!

One good thing about getting sick: I got to browse the Greeting Card section of Target for 20 minutes while I was waiting for my drugs. I never get to do that. Usually I have the kids with me and I have to keep track of Hope running up and down the aisles and keep Jack out of grabbing distance so he doesn't eat all the cards. There's something thoroughly enjoyable about walking up and down the aisles real slow and reading every single card - even the stupid ones. Some of them are so good - they make me laugh out loud, some of them make me cry... But what's even more fun than reading the cards - is watching other people read them. I get such a kick out all the people who are standing there by themselves, reading and laughing hysterically. They look so silly - just standing there and laughing to themselves. And then of course it occurs to me that I look just like they do.

Sigh...

It's the simple things.

Boo... I am so sad you are STILL sick. I hope the Zpack works fast!!! But I'm glad you got a little alone time at Target. That can heal the soul quickly. :o)

What a bummer that you're still sick. Hopefully the Z-pack will knock it out of your system. If I remember right Kurt makes a mean chicken soup (or was that just a rumor a few years ago?) He should make it for you to help you feel better.

As for the cards, I can totally see you standing there reading and laughing to yourself. Very fun indeed!

Take care my friend!

Ok,I have to admit it...I used to be addicted to buying cards. I would just go and buy cards that I loved and hope that I would be able to use it some day...silly ones, sappy ones, all sorts of them. But than I would get so attached to them that I wouldn't be able to give them up. So yes, I have a bag full of cards that I have collected over the years that I won't ever use. :) After the last Hallmark movie I watched (just a few months a go) I ran straight to Hallmark and contained myself with only buying 2 and those are still sitting on my desk in the bag right now. Yes, its a sickness.
P.S. I hope you get better, this bug seems to be a rough one. :(
