Yup. Couldn't agree with you more.
On the other hand, Billy can stare at people making left turns for hours. I've always thought to myself...why don't they just mix it up and have them start the race in the opposite direction. You know...so they'll be turning right instead of left?

You all are both so wrong. It is the blending of sport and technology. Do you like some of the safety features in your vehicles, they came from NASCAR.

Fine, I appreciate them for that, but I also appreciate NASA for velcro too. It doesn't mean I like watching them turn left all day.

Billy - the only thing that's remotely cool about NASCAR is the fact that a driver can lose up between 5 to 10 pounds in a race (due to the temperature inside the car approaching almost 140 degrees and the the fact that the drivers' pulse is at 85% of maximum; similar to that of a marathon runner's). Other than that it's a big fat snooze.

Did you know that the front grandstands at a speedway are constructed of 2 million pounds of aluminum and 15,000 tons of steel. The aluminum could produce 61 million soft drink cans. Think of many Starbucks Kristi could buy if she could recycle even 10% of those cans. NASCAR is taking money out of Kristi's Starbucks fund. I don't know about you, but I'm not okay with that.

WHAT IN THE WORLD???

2 things here...

1. I want to be a Nascar driver so I can lose 5-10 pounds per race.

2. I am sending a complaint letter to NASCAR about them stealing my recycling money.

oh, and....I don't like NASCAR either.

I thought my car's safety features came from the movie Tucker. The only NASCAR I like is Pixar's CARS "Kachow!"

I have sat in the grandstands at "Fontucky" (California Speedway) and I greatly appreciate the fact that they were built so sturdy. I am ipmressed by your knowledge of NASCAR Heidi, are you sure you are not a "closet fan"? I will watch the race latert today on TIVO after I get home from Austin's game and I will enjoy every minute of it. Based on this conversation I may not even fast forward the "boring" parts.

Billy - so you admit that there are boring parts. Hmmmm.... The first step toward healing is admitting that there is a problem. I will pray for you Billy - for you and your healing process.

With regard to my knowledge of NASCAR... Well, I'm just a smart girl. I know lots of stuff that nobody cares about.
